Alanis Morrisette's new album came out. Haven't heard anything from it yet, but if I hear two or three good tunes, it'll become part of my collection. In conversation this week, the song "Uninvited" came up, and how it seemed so different from "You Oughta Know."
"It's a cool tune,["Uninvited"] but if she's so taken with the guy she's singing about, why can't she give it a chance with him and just see where it goes. She seems to be singing it to a special person."
I just kind of grinned, and the answer was so simple I had to laugh.
I said: "Probably because she's still hung up on that jackass that she was singing to in "You Oughta Know."
